“Project BeYOUtiful”, is a campaign geared toward
inner-city youth working for positive change. Project BeYOUtiful's Our goal is to inspire youth to not only feel good about themselves, but to empower others as well.



I am a singer/songwriter from South Minneapolis. This project was inspired from my current single,
“Beautiful”. Growing up, I participated in Girl Scouts and other local programs geared toward youth. They helped me build my self-confidence, which empowered me to be the best I can be, and allowed me to give back to my community.



“Project BeYOUtiful” does just that. Our first event, “Girl Power” is a seminar/workshop, hosted by
Park Avenue Church in South Minneapolis. I have organized a team of amazing volunteers from within
the community, who are dedicating their time to this very special day. We will invite 50-75 girls, ages
9-14, to participate in small workshops, including: Girls in Science, The Wealth of Health, I play like a girl and I Can Be Anything. The event begins and ends with an interactive, motivational address from a keynote speaker.

As each girl rotates between workshops, the facilitators will give her a complimentary item representing
their topic, to take home in her gift bag. We are asking local businesses to consider donating sample
merchandise for this purpose. We also are in need of monetary donations to pay for any expenses for items that are not donated as well as to make t-shirts for each girl to take home that will be subscribed with "I Am BeYOUtiful". It's my objective to have a lasting positive impact on these young girls.
